To all our friends,

Normally at this time of year, our dealers are airing out their stalls, restocking with fantastic stuff after a winter of picking, and I’m preparing the grounds to welcome you back on opening day in late April.

But these are not normal times. On March 28, the Ontario government issued an emergency order under the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act to prohibit organized public events and social gatherings of more than five people, effective immediately.

For the first time in 60 years, we must delay our opening. Everyone’s health and well-being take precedence, and we all have a role to play.

At time of writing it’s impossible to make any promises or even educated guesses for opening day, and we ask that you bear with us. Please call ahead or check our website and Facebook page before heading to the plains of Aberfoyle.

We understand this pandemic hits some harder than others. We are truly altogether in this (albeit at a safe distance). Please take good care of yourself and loved ones, and help others in the best ways you can. If possible, make the most of some downtime. I’m sure we’re all so grateful to the front-line workers across many sectors for keeping us going.

Meantime we’ll continue to make everything picture-perfect for your return. When the time is right, please come back to us so we can make it 60 more years . Thank you for all of the support. Stay tuned. We can’t wait to see you.
